Target Information
Responsible for the deacetylation of lysine residues on the N-terminal part of core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4).
Histone deacetylation serves as an epigenetic repression marker and is critical for transcriptional regulation, cell cycle progression, and developmental processes.
HDAC6 plays a central role in microtubule-dependent cell motility via deacetylation of tubulin.
