Target Information

TET1은 메틸시토신(5mC)에 특이적으로 결합하는 dioxygenase로, 이는 포유류 DNA의 반복 서열 부위에 존재하며 레트로트랜스포존 억제와 발생 과정에서 중요한 역할을 합니다. TET1은 5mC를 5-하이드록시메틸시토신(hmC)으로 변환시키며, hmC는 염색질 구조 조절 또는 탈메틸화 중간체로 작용할 가능성이 있습니다. 특히 ES 세포와 뇌(푸르킨예 뉴런)에 풍부하며, 태아의 심장, 폐, 뇌 발달에 관여할 수 있습니다.
