Target Information
TRIM30 belongs to the tripartite motif (TRIM) protein family, which regulates cell proliferation, differentiation, development, oncogenesis, apoptosis, and antiviral responses.
TRIM proteins contain an RBCC motif (RING domain, B-boxes, and coiled-coil region).
Some TRIM family members, such as TRIM5, TRIM19, and TRIM25, restrict viral infection and are critical to innate immunity.
TRIM30 acts as a negative modulator of the TLR signaling pathway by targeting TAB2 and TAB3, inhibiting TLR-mediated NF-kappa-B activation.
This suggests that TRIM30α may play a role in modulating various immune responses.
