Target Information
TRIM30 belongs to the tripartite motif (TRIM) protein family involved in regulation of cell proliferation, differentiation, development, oncogenesis, apoptosis, and antiviral responses.
TRIM proteins contain an RBCC motif composed of a RING domain, one or two B-boxes, and a coiled-coil region.
Certain TRIM family members such as TRIM5, TRIM19, and TRIM25 are known to restrict viral infection.
TRIM30 functions as a negative modulator of the TLR signaling pathway by targeting TAB2 and TAB3, contributing to inhibition of TLR-mediated NF-κB activation.
This suggests TRIM30α may play a role in modulating immune responses through attenuation of NF-κB activation.
