For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, it is recommended to perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The PTCH1 gene encodes a member of the patched gene family. The encoded protein is a receptor for sonic hedgehog, desert hedgehog, and indian hedgehog proteins—key molecules involved in embryonic development and tumorigenesis.
PTCH1 functions as a tumor suppressor, and mutations are associated with basal cell nevus syndrome, esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, trichoepitheliomas, transitional cell carcinoma of the bladder, and holoprosencephaly.
Multiple transcript variants and isoforms are known, though some remain incompletely characterized.
