Target Information
Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K) consists of a catalytic subunit (p110δ) and a regulatory subunit (p85α), encoded by PIK3CD and PIK3R1 genes.
PI3K phosphorylates phosphoinositides on the 3-hydroxyl group of the inositol ring and plays a role in oncogenic transformation. It is highly expressed in AML blast cells and contributes to PIP3-mediated neutrophil polarization and directional migration.
PI3K signaling is involved in immune responses related to rheumatoid arthritis and other inflammatory diseases.
