Target Information
Von Hippel-Lindau syndrome (VHL)은 다양한 악성 및 양성 종양 발생에 관여하는 상염색체 우성 유전 암 증후군입니다. VHL 유전자의 생식세포 돌연변이는 이 질환의 유전적 원인이며, 해당 단백질은 elongin B, elongin C, cullin-2와 함께 단백질 복합체를 형성하여 ubiquitin ligase E3 활성을 가집니다. 이 단백질은 저산소 유도 인자(HIF)의 유비퀴틴화 및 분해에 관여하며, 산소에 의해 유전자 발현이 조절되는 과정에서 중심적인 역할을 합니다. 또한 RNA polymerase II의 POLR2G/RPB7 서브유닛도 표적 단백질로 보고되었습니다. 다양한 전사체 변이체가 존재합니다.
