Target Information
This gene encodes a member of the Golgi-localized, gamma adaptin ear-containing, ARF-binding family. These coat proteins regulate trafficking of proteins between the trans-Golgi network and lysosome. They contain an N-terminal VHS domain for mannose 6-phosphate receptor sorting and a C-terminal gamma-adaptin ear-like domain. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified.
