Target Information
SCRN2 is a member of the secernin family of proteins, including the homologous SCRN1, which is involved in the regulation of exocytosis from peritoneal mast cells. While little is known about SCRN2, studies have shown that SCRN1 may possess epitopes functioning as tumor-associated antigens in gastric cancers. Increased SCRN1 expression in colorectal cancer patients has been correlated with poor prognosis, suggesting that SCRN2 may also play roles in protein secretion or cell growth regulation.
