Product Specific Information

The eBio13G3-19D monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse Ly108, the mouse homologue of human SLAMF6 (signaling lymphocyte activation molecule family member 6). Mouse Ly108 (also known as NTB-A) is expressed on NK, T, and B cells. Engagement of the Ly108 receptor enhances NK cell activity and IFN-gamma expression, and contributes to the inability of NK cells to kill Epstein-Barr virus-infected B cells in X-linked lymphoproliferative disease. CD4+ T cells from Ly108 knockout mice show reduced IL-4 production and defective neutrophil function.

Staining shows no strain differences between C57BL/6 and BALB/c mice; other strains not tested.

Each product contains:

  • 1 vial of NovaFluor conjugate
  • 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer

Applications Reported: For use in flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested on mouse splenocytes and thymocytes at ≤0.8 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell number range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Antibody titration recommended for optimal performance.

NovaFluor Dye Compatibility

NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., propidium iodide, 7-AAD, DAPI).
Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains for viability with NovaFluor dyes.

CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer

This conjugate ships with CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01), which improves staining performance.
Use 5 µL per sample (regardless of the number of NovaFluors) when preparing antibody cocktails.
For single-color controls: add 5 µL per 100 µL cell sample (10³–10⁸ cells).

NovaFluor Technology

NovaFluor conjugates utilize Phiton™ technology with engineered fluorescent signatures designed to minimize spillover and spread.
Excitation: 552 nm; Emission: 700 nm; Laser: 561 nm (Yellow).

Note: Internal testing shows NovaFluor Yellow 700 may non-specifically stain B cells in SJL mice. No non-specific staining observed in BALB/c or C57BL/6 strains.
