Product Specific Information

• Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C or below.
• Avoid freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge if not clear after standing at room temperature.
• Stable for several weeks at 4°C as undiluted liquid. Dilute only before immediate use.
• Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-fluorescein, anti-Sheep Serum, and cyanine conjugated IgG.
• Reactivity observed against Cy2, Cy3, and Cy5; reactivity with other cyanine analogs unknown.

Target Information

Cyanines are blue-green fluorescent dyes belonging to the polymethine group, widely used for labeling and analysis in biotechnology.
Their spectral range extends from IR (489/506 nm) to UV (743/767 nm).
Cyanine dyes include Cy2, Cy3, Cy3B, Cy3.5, Cy5, Cy5.5, and Cy7, offering brighter and more stable fluorescence than traditional FITC or TRITC/Rhodamine dyes.
Cy3 and Cy5 are commonly used for two-color detection in Flow Cytometry applications.
