This antibody recognizes the C-terminal of PP2A, both alpha and beta isoforms, in human, mouse, rat, and S. cerevisiae samples.
Target Information
In eukaryotes, phosphorylation and dephosphorylation of proteins on serine and threonine residues regulate diverse cellular functions such as division, homeostasis, and apoptosis. Protein phosphatases are critical in this process and generally form a trimeric complex comprising a regulatory subunit, a variable subunit, and a catalytic subunit. Major protein phosphatase families include PP1, PP2A, PP2B (calcineurin), and PP2C. The PP2A family includes PP2A alpha and PP2A beta subfamily members. Another catalytic subunit, PPX (also known as PP4), is considered part of a novel PP family.
