Target Information
MAT2B belongs to the methionine adenosyltransferase (MAT) family, which catalyzes the biosynthesis of S-adenosylmethionine from methionine and ATP. MAT2B encodes the regulatory beta subunit of MAT. Alternative splicing at this locus produces two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms.
