Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs, approximately 30% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse Semaphorin 3E is observed.
- Less than 10% cross-reactivity with rmSemaphorin 3A, 3B, 3C, 3F, and recombinant human Semaphorin 3A, 3C, 3D, 3F.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
Semaphorins constitute the largest family of axon guidance cues, divided into eight classes (3–7 in vertebrates).
- Class 3: Secreted proteins
- Classes 4–6: Transmembrane proteins
- Class 7: Membrane-associated via GPI linkage
They share a conserved ~400 amino acid sema domain and function as axon repulsion mediators or context-dependent chemoattractants.
Semaphorins also play roles in cardiovascular development and immune cell antigen presentation.
Their signaling is mediated through Neuropilin and Plexin receptor families.
