Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs and Western blots, approximately 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant human Coagulation Factor III is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
This gene encodes coagulation factor III, a cell surface glycoprotein that enables cells to initiate blood coagulation cascades. It functions as the high-affinity receptor for coagulation factor VII, forming a complex that triggers the coagulation protease cascades through limited proteolysis.
Unlike other cofactors that circulate as nonfunctional precursors, this factor is an active initiator when expressed on cell surfaces.
It contains three distinct domains: extracellular, transmembrane, and cytoplasmic.
No congenital deficiency of this protein has been described.
