Alexa Fluor™ Plus recombinant antibodies utilize advanced dye chemistry for brighter fluorescence and improved signal-to-noise ratio. These recombinant antibodies ensure superior specificity and lot-to-lot consistency by using cloned genes expressed in vitro.

Usage Note:
Before use, briefly centrifuge the conjugate solution and use only the supernatant to minimize nonspecific background staining caused by aggregates.

Applications Tested:
This eBio64DEC17 antibody has been validated for intracellular staining and flow cytometric analysis of stimulated human peripheral blood cells. Recommended usage: 1–2 µg per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

Target Information

Interleukin-17A (IL-17A, CTLA-8) is a CD4⁺ T cell-derived cytokine that promotes inflammatory responses and is elevated in autoimmune and inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, multiple sclerosis, psoriasis, and transplant rejection.
IL-17A is a 32 kDa disulfide-linked homodimer (136 amino acids) that signals through the IL-17 receptor (IL-17R/CDw217). It enhances ICAM-1 expression and stimulates epithelial, endothelial, and fibroblastic cells to secrete IL-6, IL-8, G-CSF, and PGE₂.
IL-17A also supports hematopoietic progenitor proliferation and neutrophil maturation. It regulates NF-κB and MAPK pathways, induces IL-6 and COX-2 expression, and increases nitric oxide production.
