Alexa Fluor™ Plus recombinant antibodies utilize proprietary dye chemistry for enhanced brightness and superior signal-to-noise ratio.
These recombinant antibodies provide improved specificity and lot-to-lot consistency through controlled gene cloning and in vitro expression.

Usage Note:
Before use, briefly centrifuge the conjugate solution and use only the supernatant to minimize nonspecific background staining.

Applications Tested:
Pre-titrated and validated by intracellular staining and flow cytometric analysis of stimulated normal human peripheral blood cells.
Recommended use: 1–2 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

Target Information

Interleukin-17A (IL-17A, CTLA-8) is a CD4⁺ T cell-derived cytokine that promotes inflammatory responses and is elevated in rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, multiple sclerosis, psoriasis, and transplant rejection.
IL-17A is a 32 kDa disulfide-linked homodimer (136 amino acids) belonging to the IL-17 family (A–F). It signals through IL-17R/CDw217 and induces IL-6, IL-8, G-CSF, and PGE₂ secretion in epithelial, endothelial, and fibroblastic cells.
It also enhances ICAM-1 expression and supports CD34⁺ progenitor proliferation and neutrophil maturation.
IL-17A regulates NF-κB and MAPK pathways and promotes expression of IL-6 and COX-2, leading to nitric oxide production.
