Target Information

PTHR2 is a specific receptor for parathyroid hormone. Its activity is mediated by G proteins that activate adenylyl cyclase. PTHR2 may be responsible for PTH effects in various physiological systems and play a significant role in pancreatic function. Presence in neurons suggests it may function as a neurotransmitter receptor.
