For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, it is recommended to perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The heterotetrameric coat assembly protein complex, also known as the adaptor-related protein complex 2 (AP-2), belongs to the adaptor complexes medium subunits family.
The mu 1 subunit of the AP-2 complex (AP2M1) is required for the activity of a vacuolar ATPase responsible for proton pumping during endosome and lysosome acidification.
AP2M1 associates with the HIV-1 protein Nef, suggesting its role in enhancing endocytosis of CD4 and class I MHC. It may also regulate intracellular trafficking and the function of CTLA-4 protein.
At least two isoforms of AP2M1 are known to exist.
