Product Specific Information

OMA1-03061 detects protein kinase B (PKB) phosphorylated at Ser473 from human and mouse samples. It recognizes PKB isoforms 1, 2, and 3.
This antibody has been validated for Western blot, immunofluorescence, and immunocytochemistry. In Western blot, it detects an ~55 kDa phosphorylated PKB (Ser473) protein from NIH-3T3 cells treated with PDGF.
The immunizing phosphopeptide is derived from human PKB (Ser473) region, showing 100% homology with other untested species.
Previously sold as part of the Thermo Scientific Cellomics High Content Screening Kit, this replacement antibody is recommended for high-content cell-based assays and validated for cellular IF applications.
Further optimization, including selection of appropriate Dylight-conjugated secondary antibodies, may be required for specific assay conditions.

Target Information

AKT1 (PKB alpha) is a serine/threonine kinase regulating cell survival. It inhibits apoptosis and promotes cell cycle progression by phosphorylating various targets, including forkhead transcription factors and caspase-9.
