Target Information
Interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β)는 염증 자극에 반응하여 단핵구, 대식세포, 수지상세포에서 발현되는 염증성 사이토카인입니다. IL-1β는 세포질 내에서 31 kDa의 비활성 전구체 형태로 합성되며, inflammasome 활성화에 의해 17 kDa의 활성형으로 절단됩니다. 이 과정은 caspase-1 활성화와 연관되어 있으며, IL-1β는 전통적인 ER/Golgi 경로를 거치지 않고 caspase-1과 함께 비정형적인 메커니즘으로 분비됩니다. IL-1β는 IL-1RI 및 IL-1RII 수용체를 통해 신호를 전달하며, IL-1 Receptor Antagonist (IL-1RA)에 의해 경쟁적으로 억제될 수 있습니다. IL-1β는 선천면역 반응에서 중요한 역할을 하며, 다양한 만성 염증 질환과 관련이 있습니다. IL-1β 중화 항체는 잠재적인 치료적 가치를 가집니다.
