Target Information
DDX1 (ATP-dependent RNA helicase DDX1) acts as an ATP-dependent RNA helicase capable of unwinding both RNA-RNA and RNA-DNA duplexes. It possesses single-stranded RNA overhang nuclease activity and ATPase activity on various RNA substrates.
DDX1, together with RELA, acts as a coactivator enhancing NF-κB-mediated transcriptional activation and positively regulates cyclin CCND2 expression by binding to its promoter region.
It is part of a multi-helicase–TICAM1 complex functioning as a cytoplasmic sensor of viral double-stranded RNA, activating antiviral responses and proinflammatory cytokine induction via TICAM1.
