Target Information
The CTNNBL1 protein is a component of the PRP19-CDC5L complex, which activates pre-mRNA splicing and is integral to the spliceosome. It acts as a nuclear localization sequence binding protein and interacts with activation-induced deaminase, playing an important role in antibody diversification. CTNNBL1 may be associated with obesity development. Alternative splicing yields multiple transcript variants, and a pseudogene exists on the X chromosome. Diseases associated with CTNNBL1 include Immunodeficiency 99 with Hypogammaglobulinemia and Autoimmune Cytopenias.
