This antibody detects endogenous levels of Chk1 only when phosphorylated at Serine 317.
Target Information
CHEK1 (CHK1) is a serine/threonine protein kinase involved in preventing replication when DNA integrity is compromised. It acts as a key mediator in the DNA damage-induced checkpoint network and ensures genomic stability under genotoxic stress. Inhibition of CHK1 can lead to mitotic catastrophe and apoptosis in p53-deficient cancer cells, making CHK1 an attractive therapeutic target for cancer treatment.
