Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
TGF-beta is a ubiquitously expressed cytokine that signals through the Smad protein family to regulate cellular processes such as embryonic development and tumorigenesis.
This signaling is negatively regulated by Ski, the mammalian homolog of the avian retroviral transforming protein, and the related protein SnoN.
Both Ski and SnoN bind Smad proteins to inhibit their phosphorylation and DNA-binding activity, suppressing transcriptional activation of downstream genes.
SnoN is mainly localized in the nucleus in cancer cells but in the cytoplasm in normal or primary epithelial cells.
