Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, it is recommended to perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Slug (SNAI2) is a member of the Snail family of C2H2-type zinc finger transcription factors. It plays a key role in epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and neural tube formation during vertebrate embryogenesis.
Slug expression can be induced by growth factors such as FGF, BMP, and TGF-beta. Once expressed, Slug binds to E-box regions of promoters and represses transcription of genes such as E-cadherin and Claudin-1.
Its expression in breast, esophageal, and colorectal carcinomas has been correlated with poor prognosis. Additionally, Slug protects hematopoietic progenitor cells from radiation-induced apoptosis by repressing p53-mediated transcription of Puma.
