Product Specific Information

• Membrane permeabilization is required for flow cytometry applications.
• In Western blot, MA1-80225 detects a band at approximately 55–60 kDa using 1 µg of purified luciferase.
• For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10^6 cells in 100 µL.
• Mouse anti-luciferase antibody, clone LUC-Y detects expression of the luciferase gene from the North American firefly (Photinus pyralis) in cells and tissues.

Target Information

Luciferase produces green light with a wavelength of 562 nm.
Luciferase catalyzes the reaction:
D-firefly luciferin + O₂ + ATP → firefly oxyluciferin + CO₂ + AMP + diphosphate + light.
