Amino Acid Sequence of Recombinant Protein:

Preparation:
Produced from sera of goats immunized with highly pure Recombinant Murine CXCL16. Anti-Murine CXCL16-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect mCXCL16 by sandwich ELISA (100 µL/well antibody solution), use 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody. In conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Murine CXCL16 (500-P201G) as a capture antibody, it allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant mCXCL16.

Western Blot:
To detect Murine CXCL16 by Western Blot, use 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. With compatible secondary reagents, detection limit for Recombinant Murine CXCL16 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

CXCL16 is a member of the CXC chemokine family that signals through the CXCR6 receptor. It may play a role in attracting lymphocyte subsets during inflammation and facilitating immune responses. The chemokine domain contains six cysteine residues, including four highly conserved ones characteristic of CXC chemokines.
The CXCL16 gene encodes a 273 amino acid polypeptide with a 29 amino acid cytoplasmic domain and a transmembrane region of ~20 amino acids. The extracellular domain includes a chemokine domain and an extended mucin-like stalk sequence, containing 89 amino acid residues (86 residues for the murine homolog).
