Amino Acid Sequence of Recombinant Protein:

Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human CXCL16. The anti-Human CXCL16-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect hCXCL16 by sandwich ELISA (100 µL/well antibody solution), use 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody. In conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human CXCL16 (500-P200) as a capture antibody, it allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant hCXCL16.

Western Blot:
For detection of Human CXCL16, use 0.1–0.2 µg/mL of this antibody. In conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Human CXCL16 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

CXCL16 is a member of the CXC chemokine family and signals through the CXCR6 receptor. It may play a role in attracting lymphocyte subsets during inflammation and facilitating immune responses. The chemokine domain of CXCL16 contains six cysteine residues, including four conserved cysteines characteristic of CXC chemokines.
The CXCL16 gene encodes a 273 amino acid polypeptide, including a 29 amino acid cytoplasmic domain and a transmembrane sequence (~20 amino acids). The extracellular portion contains a chemokine domain and an extended C-terminal mucin-like stalk sequence (89 amino acids; 86 for murine homolog).
