Product Specific Information
In direct ELISAs and Western blots, approximately 30% cross-reactivity with recombinant human (rh) CA14 is observed and less than 5% cross-reactivity with rhCA1, -2, -3, -6, -8, -10, -13, recombinant mouse CA4, -9, and -12 is observed.
Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
CA14 belongs to a large family of zinc metalloenzymes that catalyze the reversible hydration of carbon dioxide. The protein is predicted to be a type I membrane protein and shares highest sequence similarity with the other transmembrane CA isoform, CA XII; however, they have different patterns of tissue-specific expression and may play distinct physiologic roles.
