• In direct ELISAs and Western blots, approximately 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse IL-3 and less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human IL-3 is observed.
• Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
• Endotoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 µg of antibody by the LAL method.

Target Information

Interleukin 3 (IL-3), also known as Mast Cell Growth Factor (MCGF), Multi-Colony Stimulating Factor (multi-CSF), or Eosinophil-CSF (E-CSF), is produced by activated T cells, mast cells, and eosinophils.
IL-3 is a hematopoietic growth factor that stimulates colony formation of erythroid, megakaryocyte, neutrophil, eosinophil, basophil, mast cell, and monocytic lineages.
Its functions are enhanced or dependent on co-stimulation with other cytokines.
Human and mouse IL-3 share only 29% sequence identity at the amino acid level, and bioactivity is highly species-specific.
IL-3 supports proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic cells and has been shown to possess neurotrophic activity, potentially associated with neurologic disorders.
