Product Specific Information
MA1-40313 detects C1q from mouse, rat, and human samples.
It has been successfully used in immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry (frozen), ELISA, functional assays, and Western blot applications.
The immunogen is purified mouse C1q.
Controls:
- Positive control: Spleen and kidney tissue of wild-type mice
- Negative control: Spleen and kidney tissue of C1q -/- mice
Target Information
C1q is a sub-component of complement C1 and associates with complement components C1r and C1s, which are required for progression of the proteolytic complement cascade.
Deficiency of C1q is associated with lupus erythematosus and glomerulonephritis.
C1q consists of 18 polypeptide chains (six A-, six B-, six C-chains). Each chain has a collagen-like region near the N terminus and a C-terminal globular region.
The A-, B-, and C-chains are arranged in the order A-C-B on chromosome 1.
