Product Specific Information

The OX39 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD25, the 55 kDa interleukin-2 receptor alpha (IL-2Rα).
CD25 is expressed by early progenitors of T and B lineages and by activated mature T and B lymphocytes.
By itself, CD25 binds IL-2 with low affinity, but forms a high-affinity IL-2 receptor complex when associated with CD122 (IL-2Rβ) and CD132 (common γ chain).
CD25 plays a key role in lymphocyte differentiation, activation, and proliferation.

• Clone OX39 has been shown to deplete CD25⁺ cells in vivo.
• Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
• Applications Tested: Tested on rat splenocytes; use ≤0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume).
  Cell count may vary (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Optimize titration for best performance.

Fluorochrome Details:
Super Bright 436 is excited with a 405 nm violet laser and emits at 436 nm.
Recommended filter: 450/50 bandpass (or equivalent).
Ensure instrument compatibility with this fluorochrome.

When using multiple Super Bright dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

CD25 (IL2RA) encodes the IL-2 receptor alpha chain, a component of the high-affinity IL-2 receptor complex with IL2RB and IL2RG.
It regulates T and B lymphocyte proliferation and immune response.
IL2RA expression is monoallelic in mature thymocytes, ensuring precise gene control.
IL-2 acts as a growth and differentiation factor and regulates apoptosis.
Deficiency or mutation in IL2RA is associated with immune dysregulation and inflammatory disease.
