Product Specific Information
This antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The MESP2 gene encodes a member of the bHLH family of transcription factors, playing a key role in defining the rostrocaudal patterning of somites through interactions with multiple Notch signaling pathways. It is expressed in the anterior presomitic mesoderm and is downregulated immediately after the formation of segmented somites. The gene also contributes to the formation of epithelial somitic mesoderm and cardiac mesoderm. Mutations in MESP2 cause autosomal recessive spondylocostal dystosis 2 (SCD02).
