This antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The neuropeptide galanin elicits a range of biological effects through interaction with specific G-protein-coupled receptors. Galanin receptors are seven-transmembrane proteins that activate various intracellular second-messenger pathways. GALR1 inhibits adenylyl cyclase via a G protein of the Gi/Go family and is widely expressed in the brain and spinal cord, as well as in peripheral tissues such as the small intestine and heart.
