In Western blot applications, this antibody detects bands at approximately 25 kDa and 35 kDa.
A suggested positive control is Jurkat cell lysate.
PA5-19899 can be used with blocking peptide PEP-0025.
Target Information
FLIP (CFLAR) is an apoptosis regulator protein that serves as a key link between cell survival and death pathways in mammalian cells.
It acts as an inhibitor of TNFRSF6-mediated apoptosis. A proteolytic fragment (p43) may remain in the death-inducing signaling complex (DISC), blocking further recruitment and processing of caspase-8.
Full-length and shorter isoforms can either induce or inhibit TNFRSF-triggered apoptosis.
FLIP lacks enzymatic (caspase) activity.
