For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

STAT5 alpha belongs to the STAT family of transcription factors. Upon cytokine or growth factor stimulation, STAT proteins are phosphorylated, form dimers, and translocate to the nucleus to act as transcription activators.
STAT5A mediates responses to IL2, IL3, IL7, GM-CSF, erythropoietin, thrombopoietin, and various growth hormones. Activation of STAT5A is linked to tumorigenesis in myeloma and lymphoma associated with TEL/JAK2 fusion.
In mice, STAT5A induces BCL2L1/BCL-X(L) expression, suggesting an antiapoptotic role. STAT5A and STAT5B share 96% sequence similarity and are co-expressed in most tissues, with differential mRNA accumulation in muscle and mammary tissues.
STAT5A plays key roles in reproduction, lactation, immune function, and somatic growth.
