Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human MIP-1alpha (CCL3). Anti-Human MIP-1alpha (CCL3)-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Human MIP-1alpha (CCL3) matrix.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human MIP-1alpha (CCL3) by sandwich ELISA, use 0.5–2.0 µg/mL of this antibody (100 µL/well). In conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human MIP-1alpha (CCL3) (500-P38Bt) as a detection antibody, allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human MIP-1alpha (CCL3).

Western Blot:
For Western Blot analysis, use at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. Detection limit for Recombinant Human MIP-1alpha is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

MIP-1alpha and MIP-1beta are structurally and functionally related CC chemokines involved in host defense against bacterial, viral, parasitic, and fungal infections. They regulate trafficking and activation of inflammatory cells such as macrophages, lymphocytes, and NK cells.
MIP-1alpha selectively attracts CD8+ lymphocytes, while MIP-1beta attracts CD4+ lymphocytes. Both also act as chemoattractants for B cells, eosinophils, and dendritic cells. Active on both human and murine hematopoietic cells.
