Target Information
IkB-alpha는 NF-κB 활성을 억제하는 40 kDa 단백질로, 세포질 내에서 NF-κB와 결합하여 핵 이동을 방지합니다. TNF-α, IL-1β, LPS, UV, 바이러스 감염 등 다양한 자극에 의해 IkB-alpha가 분해되면서 NF-κB가 활성화됩니다.
NF-κB 활성화에는 IkB-alpha의 Ser32와 Ser36 잔기 인산화가 필수적이며, 이는 IKKα에 의해 매개됩니다. IKK 복합체는 IKKα, IKKβ, IKKγ의 세 가지 서브유닛으로 구성되어 있으며, 각각 IkB 인산화에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
인간에서 IkB-alpha 유전자는 염색체 14q에 위치합니다.
