Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cell lines, introduced in the 1960s, have become essential tools for biomedical research and biopharmaceutical manufacturing. Their rapid growth, stable gene expression, and high protein production make them ideal for both research studies and therapeutic protein production.

To support advanced research and improve manufacturing yield, the GeneChip™ CHO Gene 2.0 ST Array provides the highest coverage of the transcribed genome. Using a comprehensive collection of information sources, probes are designed to interrogate up to 23 unique sequences per transcript. This enables whole-transcriptome gene expression analysis at both the gene and exon levels, allowing the study of transcript variants and alternative splicing events.

This array design is based on the most recent genome content and offers high probe coverage for every transcript. The high transcript coverage yields accurate detection of genome-wide expression changes and provides higher resolution and accuracy than conventional 3′-biased microarray solutions. The whole-transcriptome approach allows detection of multiple transcript isoforms, including splice variants, non-polyadenylated transcripts, transcripts with alternative polyadenylation sites, and truncated transcripts.
