Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human TNF-beta. Anti-Human TNF-beta-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human TNF-beta by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human TNF-beta (500-P31B) as a capture antibody, allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human TNF-beta.

Western Blot:
To detect Human TNF-beta by Western Blot analysis, use at a concentration of 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. When used with compatible secondary reagents, detection limit for Recombinant Human TNF-beta is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

TNF beta, a member of the tumor necrosis factor family, is a cytokine produced by lymphocytes. It is highly inducible, secreted, and forms heterotrimers with lymphotoxin-beta, anchoring lymphotoxin-alpha to the cell surface. TNF beta mediates various inflammatory, immunostimulatory, and antiviral responses, contributes to secondary lymphoid organ formation, and plays a role in apoptosis. Genetic variations are associated with susceptibility to leprosy type 4 and psoriatic arthritis.
