For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The progesterone receptor (PR) belongs to the steroid family of nuclear receptors and mediates the physiological effects of progesterone, a key hormone in reproductive processes such as pregnancy establishment and maintenance.
PR exists as two isoforms:

• Form A (94 kDa)
• Form B (120 kDa)

PR-B is the transcriptionally active form responsible for gene activation related to endometrial maintenance, pregnancy, and ovulation inhibition.
PR-A lacks 165 amino acids at the N-terminus, exposing a 140 amino acid inhibitory domain that represses steroid hormone transcriptional activity.
Upon progesterone binding, PR undergoes conformational changes, dimerizes, and binds to progesterone response elements (PRE), activating transcription.
A null mutation in the PGR gene leads to reproductive abnormalities.
