Product Specific Information
This antibody reacts with an internal region of the ZONAB protein. On Western blots, it identifies a major band at approximately 65 kDa and a minor band at approximately 54 kDa. The antibody targets a region common to both the long and alternatively spliced short forms of ZONAB. Reactivity was confirmed using mouse testis tissue homogenates by Western blotting and immunofluorescence labeling. All signals were absent in knockout mice, confirming specificity.
Target Information
Human DNA-binding protein (dbpA) belongs to the Y-box binding protein family containing a cold shock domain. Increased expression of Y-box binding proteins in somatic cells is associated with cell proliferation and transformation.
