Product Specific Information
The C67F154 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD11b. CD11b (integrin alpha-M) is a 165 kDa adhesion molecule that associates non-covalently with integrin beta-2 (CD18). The CD11b/CD18 complex, also known as integrin alpha-M beta-2, Mac-1, or CR3, is expressed on monocytes/macrophages, granulocytes, activated lymphocytes, subsets of NK and dendritic cells, and microglia.
CD11b/CD18 functions as a receptor for ICAM-1 (CD54), ICAM-2 (CD102), ICAM-4 (CD242), CD14, CD50, CD23, heparin, iC3b, fibrinogen, and Factor X, playing a crucial role in cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions.
This antibody has been validated in IHC using formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue with antigen retrieval (low or high pH) and is effective at ≤1 µg/mL. Optimal dilution should be determined experimentally.

Target Information
CD11b (integrin alpha-M, ITGAM, integrin alpha-X, ITGAX) forms a heterodimer with CD18. It is expressed on various immune cells and functions as a receptor for multiple adhesion molecules. CD11b is used as a microglial marker and shows variable expression depending on macrophage tissue origin. Dysregulation of CD11b is associated with systemic lupus erythematosus and ITGAM-related autoimmune susceptibility.
