Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the RAMP family of single-transmembrane-domain proteins (Receptor Activity Modifying Proteins).
RAMPs are type I transmembrane proteins with an extracellular N terminus and a cytoplasmic C terminus.
They are required for transporting calcitonin-receptor-like receptor (CRLR) to the plasma membrane.
CRLR can function as either a calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) receptor or an adrenomedullin receptor, depending on which RAMP family members are expressed.
In the presence of RAMP3, CRLR functions as an adrenomedullin receptor.
