Preparation:
Produced from sera of goats immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human LEC (CCL16). Anti-Human LEC (CCL16)-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human LEC (CCL16) by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required.
This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human LEC (CCL16) (500-P125G) as a capture antibody, allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human LEC (CCL16).

Western Blot:
To detect hLEC by Western blot analysis, use at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL.
With compatible secondary reagents, detection limit for Recombinant hLEC is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

The CCL16 gene is part of a cytokine gene cluster on chromosome 17q.
Cytokines are secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes.
CCL16 shows chemotactic activity for lymphocytes and monocytes, but not for neutrophils.
It also exhibits potent myelosuppressive activity, suppressing proliferation of myeloid progenitor cells.
Expression of this gene is upregulated by IL-10.
