Preparation:
Produced from sera of goats immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human LEC (CCL16). The anti-Human LEC (CCL16)-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and subsequently biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human LEC (CCL16) by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), use a concentration of 0.25–1.0 µg/mL. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human LEC (CCL16) (500-P125G) as a capture antibody, allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human LEC (CCL16).

Western Blot:
For detection of hLEC by Western Blot, use at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. With compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant hLEC is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

The CCL16 gene is part of a cytokine gene cluster on chromosome 17q. Cytokines are secreted proteins involved in immune regulation and inflammation. CC cytokines are defined by two adjacent cysteine residues.
CCL16 exhibits chemotactic activity for lymphocytes and monocytes, but not neutrophils, and has potent myelosuppressive activity that suppresses proliferation of myeloid progenitor cells. Its expression is upregulated by IL-10.
