The GRB7 gene encodes a growth factor receptor-binding protein belonging to a small family of adapter proteins. It interacts with receptor tyrosine kinases such as EGFR and ephrin receptors, playing a critical role in integrin signaling and cell migration through focal adhesion kinase (FAK) binding. Alternative splicing leads to multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
