This antibody has specificity for Human SIRPG/SIRP gamma/CD172g.
Target Information
SIRP gamma (CD172g) recognizes a 55 kDa signal regulatory protein belonging to the immunoglobulin gene superfamily. It is expressed on most T lymphocytes and a subset of B-cells, but absent on myeloid cells.
CD172g has a truncated cytoplasmic tail similar to SIRP beta, but unlike SIRP beta, CD172g does not require DAP12 for surface expression.
Like SIRP alpha, CD172g binds to CD47 inducing apoptosis and is involved in the negative regulation of receptor tyrosine kinase-coupled signaling.
