SMARCC1 유전자가 암호화하는 단백질은 SWI/SNF 단백질 패밀리에 속하며, helicase 및 ATPase 활성을 가지고 있습니다. 이 단백질은 ATP 의존적 크로마틴 리모델링 복합체 SNF/SWI의 구성요소로, 많은 전사 인자에서 볼 수 있는 leucine zipper 모티프를 포함하고 있습니다.
